First you must know that LIONS stands for "Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nations' Safety"! The Mission of Lions is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs. Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.4 million members of our volunteer organization in over 200 countries are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it.

About Us

We NY Cyber Business &
Industry Lions Club

The New York Cyber Business & Industry Lions Club (NYCBILC), established on June 20, 2025, by SVDG Shah Nawaz, under the visionary leadership of Governor Terry Paladini (2024-2025). It is the first men and women business and industry club formed in Lions to serve as a model for others to join. Members hail from diverse business and industries globally, united by a shared commitment to serving their communities in need and supporting the causes of Lions International Foundation worldwide. NYCBILC is a New York State 501c3 Corporation and holds a 501c4 nonprofit status under Lions Clubs International.

Members interact holding monthly Zoom meetings and engage in personal meetings during Lions International Conventions, Multiple District (State) Conventions, during the week of LIONS/UN DAY, and the club’s annual convention/trade show meetings.

NYCBILC mission is to promote business initiatives that benefit communities in need by implementing programs that prioritize civic, social, and cultural endeavors. These programs aim to enhance the visibility of Lions; provide educational support to young entrepreneurs. Additionally, the mission encompasses supporting Lions Clubs International Foundation’s global services initiatives that encompass various areas, including health (vision, diabetes, cancer), youth development, environmental conservation, and disaster relief.

  • September 3-5: USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum, Memphis, Tennessee
